One of our first exposures to technology in Hong Kong was the proliferation of cell phone use. Over 150% market share? Sure, why not have multiple phones when there are over 200 telecom companies battling it out for chump change - for the equivalent of $6 CAD/mth I can get 800 minutes. Wow. Our economics professor was practically salivating at the consumer benefits provided by the Hong Kong free market. I wryly observed with such prolific cell phone usage Hong Kong presented a perfect petrie dish for studying alleged cell phone-causing brain mutations.
Lee Altenberg, a professor at University of Hawa'ii, seems to have a reasonable collection of links on this top. Mahalo, Lee.
